During her job as an nominate astronat, she married to Taichi Yamazaki, a nice Japanese guy (younger than her), who has devoted his life and now he takes care of their small daughter. Without his support she couldn't become the first Japanese astronaut Mom besides caring of a young daughter.
On April 5th, 2010 her smile was appeared on TV with her nice family, wearing her orange uniform of the shuttle Discovery as part of mission STS-131. She is expected to return to Earth on April 18th, 2010. We are very glad to know succesful launceing and expect to fulfile her mission, as one of neighbor towns of Matsudo city.
Well, our city hall, a woman manager was born in this April, after a long interval of the formar one.
